I created my first website as a platform for the surf photos I had taken at Ocean Beach and my second site was created to host photos and mp3′s of the band I was playing in. In retrospect, it seems a natural progression to now be running a web design company. It is our mission at Zen Den Web Design to clean up the streets of the internet by creating well designed, easy to navigate, and functional websites. In addition to a superior product, we deliver all of our projects with reliable, accountable, and personal service which will exceed your expectations.

After graduating with a degree in Psychology, I was immediately drawn to studying its business implications. My passion for understanding consumer behavior led me to a focus in Marketing while earning my M.B.A. I believe that the relationships a business builds with its clients begins with the collaboration and pride from within. From there, anything is possible.

I’ve always had a passion for Art and Design, as a child my dream was to become an Architect. However, my addiction to Social media and the booming Internet lead me to study Web Design/New Media at the Academy of Art University. The combination of a computer and art is my favorite thing about what I do, I’m a daily user of Photoshop and I’m proud of it. I enjoy creating fun and fresh websites, vector logos, icons, stationary graphics and even shooting photography. My favorite fonts are Futura, Helvetica and Bauhaus and my favorite colors are black and white, if you consider those colors.

I like putting language to work: whether writing the copy that attracts users and search engines to a website, or writing the code (PHP, MySQL, Javascript, CSS, Actionscript) to make the user experience compelling and enjoyable. Over the last 10 years, I’ve worked in Sydney and London gaining experience in marketing and web development; acquiring a rich understanding of how to implement successful communications. Whether our client is a small business, a budding author, a not-for-profit organization, or a multi-national company, I’m never more excited than when I’m gaining an understanding of clients’ needs and delivering solutions.

I’m a Developer at Zen Den and my specialty is in Web 2.0, open source, and social media. Web design is not only my job, it’s my passion. I love creating fun and dynamic websites, whether it be for a client or for my own crazy ventures. Some people express their art with a paintbrush or a musical instrument; I prefer a computer… as geeky as that may sound.
